ESNTL: FAQs
ESNTL
By using ESNTL Wellness, you will be encouraged to reflect twice each day. Upon doing so you will build awareness around the interconnectedness and multidimensional nature of their wellbeing.
Using the data captured through biometric data and the twice daily reflections the application populates actionable insights that help you track changes, trends, and correlations. These insights include contextual and proactive guidance to support. At any time users can review wellness data, curated benefits and resources for on-the-go support accessible at critical moments.
To receive the most benefit from the platform we recommend you use and wear your Apple
Watch as much as possible, this will ensure the data is as accurate and reflective of your day as possible.
The most importanat things we want to capture on the watch is sleep, activity, and heart rate. This will unlock the most robust feature- set on ESNTL.
The check-ins serve as a moment of reflection for users to better understand how your body and mind connected throughout the day.
Research supports that just the act of reflecting is key to maintining optimal mental health. Additionally, that check in data will be played back to the user in historical trend detail and correlative insights to help users understand how wellbeing categories impact each other.

iCloud
On you iPhone go to Settings and tap Sign in to your iPhone and sign in with your Apple ID. Once signed in, tap on iCloud, and turn on both iCloud Drive and ESNTL.
Two-factor authentication is to protect every individual. It is an extra layer of security for your Apple ID, designed to make sure that the password is not the only defense.
This process is required to use certain Apple services and features, such as Apple Pay and Sign in with Apple, and it is the default security method for most Apple IDs.
Since we use the Sign in with Apple feature, Apple requires that two-factor authentication is turned ON.
For more information visit: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915.
To turn Two-Factor Authentication ON using your mobile device:
1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > Your Name > Password & Security.
2. Tap Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.
3. Then tap Continue and follow the onscreen instructions.
No, you only need to use Two-Factor Authentication when setting up the app for the first time. After that, you can simply tap the ESNTL Wellness icon and use the app as usual.
Supported Devices
A complication provides access to an App directly from your watch face. Choose a watch face that allows complications to be added to the watch face for easy entry to the check in process for ESNTL. We recommend choosing a watch face showcasing the activity rings to encourage movement throughout the day and ease of reflection that ESNTL provides.
To add ESNTL as a complication to your watch face:
On your Apple Watch, with the watch face showing, touch and hold the display, then tap Edit.
Swipe left all the way to the end.
Tap the location where you want ESNTL complication to appear.
Scroll down until you find ESNTL and tap Mood.
Press the Digital Crown to save your changes.
ESNTL can now be opened directly by tapping on the complication you’ve just added to your watch face.

On your iPhone go to Watch > Sleep and turn on Track Sleep with Apple Watch.
On your iPhone go to Health > Sleep, tap Get Started and follow the onscreen steps. Take a look at Apple’s instructions here:

If this is the first time that you have worn your Apple Watch while sleeping, you may need to wait a little bit longer for ESNTL to display your sleep data. See “Why can’t I see last night’s sleep?” below for more information.
If you are seeing an error message, then check out the “Error Messages” section below for more information.
ESNTL will only display sleep data for complete ‘sleep days’, calculated from 12:00 pm the previous day to 12:00 pm today. This means that ESNTL will only display sleep data from last night after 12:00 pm today.
To see progressive sleep data from the current data, check out Sleep in the Health App.
You may not have worn your Apple Watch to sleep on those days. ESNTL relies on your Apple Watch to record sleep data, so remember to wear your Apple Watch to sleep.
A Sleep Schedule may not be set up for all days in the Health App. For example, if the missing sleep data is on a weekend, then your Sleep Schedule may have been set up for weekdays only. You need to have a schedule set up for each day that you want your sleep data to be recorded.
To set additional schedules, or modify, turn off and remove created schedules:
On your iPhone go to Health > Sleep and tap Full Schedule & Options to manage your schedules.

If you are seeing a specific error message, check out the “Error Messages” section below for more information.

If the issue persists, please report the problem via the settings cog on the summary screen and submit a ticket through the Help & Support feature.
Logging your mood allows you to build awareness around your feelings and connect them to patterns in your behaviors. Over time, you will develop a greater connection to your emotions and an understanding of the patterns that help or hinder your mental wellness.
